Never heard of Felicity? That tiny California town is officially recognized as the Center of the World by authorities no-less powerful than the Imperial County Board of Supervisors and the government of France. Visiting Felicity got commentator Joe Mathews thinking about the world, and California’s place in it. He says that, in fact, California is far from the center of the things. That’s meant that we’ve hard to work hard to connect ourselves to the rest of the world. And we’ve done so with great success.
