LA Temperatures Hit Record Highs

Hosted by

Los Angeles today recorded its highest temperature since record-keeping began back in 1877. It was 113 degrees downtown — two degrees lower than Death Valley — and more than 105 at the beaches. The good news is there is not much wind, but firefighters and equipment have been installed where fire danger is greatest.  It's expected to cool down tomorrow, but it'll still be unseasonably warm for the rest of this week.
