Will Hollywood Ever Make Way for Women?

The Directors Guild of America, the DGA — has published its first annual Feature Film Diversity Report . Out of 376 films made during 2013 and 2014, 82% were directed by white males. Minority males got 11% of the top jobs.

The Directors Guild of America, the DGA — has published its first annual Feature Film Diversity Report. Out of 376 films made during 2013 and 2014, 82% were directed by white males. Minority males got 11% of the top jobs. But women directed films -- big and small -- just 6% of the time. Kim Masters is editor-at-large for the Hollywood Reporter and host of KCRW's The Business.
