Some of California's best-known chefs are lobbying to repeal a ban on foie gras, produced by force-feeding geese and ducks to enlarge their livers. The ban provided seven years for development of more humane means of production, and it's scheduled to take effect on July 1. We hear about animal rights versus haute cuisine.
