Today, after more than a week of jury deliberation, 89 year-old George Russell Weller was convicted of 10 counts of vehicular manslaughter and gross negligence. Another 63 people were seriously injured when Weller drove his car through the Santa Monica Farmers' Market on July 16, 2003. Attorneys for Weller, who faces up to 18 years in prison, say they will appeal.
