In Sacramento, there’s lobbying and log-rolling in the crowded halls of the Capitol and at restaurants and watering holes in surrounding neighborhoods. Now it’s all coming to a head in the chambers of the Assembly and Senate as another legislative session moves toward adjournment at the end of this week. “Business as usual” means a lot of high-profile measures have been put off until the last minute. We’ll hear what’s happening to guns, gambling, plastic bags and tax credits to keep both movies and TV production in California. Will there be any significant new laws to deal with the drought?
