LA County officials are investigating a complaint about wait time at Big County—that’s County/USC Hospital, LA’s largest public hospital. Today’s LA Times reports that a healthcare professional says the emergency room is so crowded the average waiting time is 35 hours. We called the County Department of Health Services, which said anyone who could speak was in a meeting. The hospital itself said they’d been told not to talk with the media.
