Readers of Travel and Leisure magazine ranked LAX America's second-worst airport after New York's LaGuardia. At today's opening of the new Tom Bradley International Terminal, designed to compete with some of the best airports in the world, Mayor Eric Garcetti observed, "Now more than 8 million international travelers a year will have the best first and last impression we can give of our city: stunning synchronized video, last-minute shopping that rivals Rodeo Drive, and the best food of our city, right here." One of today's visitors to the new terminal is Frances Anderton, host of KCRW's Design and Architecture.
