Internet Voyeurism

Why are people interested in Web sites displaying a college student talking on the phone or taking a nap (such as JenniCam)? Or the activities on a street corner halfway around the world? Are Internet viewers simply hoping to see what they're really not supposed to see? Why are teens putting their lives on the Internet around the clock? Is mundane reality more interesting than pure fiction?
