Microsoft to Download Yahoo for $45 Billion

Microsoft has made an unsolicited offer to buy Yahoo in a takeover potentially worth almost $45 billion. The two combined would still trail Google in online advertising, but the Justice Department is already interested in the impact on competition.

The two combined would still trail Google in online advertising, but the Justice Department is already interested in the impact on competition. Todd Bishop is technology reporter for the Seattle Post-Intelligencer and writes the paper's Microsoft blog.
