Upon this week's publication of a book-length interview with Pope Benedict XVI, the Vatican has moved to clarify what the Pontiff said about condom use, insisting that he has "not reformed or changed the Church's teaching." But that's not how it sounds to millions of the faithful. The Roman Catholic leader has been widely quoted that the one instance a condom might be used is when a male prostitute tries to protect his client.
