After years of warnings about the decline of America's infrastructure, the Skagit River Bridge on Interstate 5 in Washington State collapsed last night when a truck with an oversized load struck a steel beam. Dan Sligh, who was driving one of two cars that were dumped into the Skagit River, said "When the dust hit, I saw the bridge start to fall at that point and the forward momentum just carried us right over."
