Alaska's Ted Stevens has served in the Senate for 40 years, longer than any other Republican. After he was indicted on felony charges in late July, Stevens surged in the polls against the Democrat who's opposing him for another term. Yesterday, after being convicted on seven felony counts in a Washington courtroom, he's on his way home to continue his campaign for re-election.
