The Obama Justice Department obtained court orders to reform police abuse in several local police departments, and was investigating reports of abuse in Chicago. But Attorney General Jeff Sessions called them "pretty anecdotal and not so scientifically based." He said federal intervention might be preventing officers on the street from doing their jobs.
