Hosted by

Last night's NBA Championship game was a nail-biter — at the Oracle Arena, home of the Golden State Warriors. But more than 50 years of sports heartbreak ended as the MVP LeBron James and Cleveland Cavaliers became the first NBA team ever to win the deciding seventh game after being behind by three to one. And that brought Cleveland its first sports championship in 52 years.

Now the City's preparing for next month's Republican nominating convention — with barricades, batons, riot gear and police officers from out of town. Nick Castele, who covers sports and politics for WCPN ideastream, public radio in Cleveland and Northeast Ohio, looks at last night's game and preparations for the GOP convention.
