Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders announced this morning he’s entering the 2020 presidential race, bringing the Democratic candidate count to 12. As an underdog, Sanders had a surprisingly strong showing in 2016 against Hillary Clinton. But the Democratic party has changed a lot in the two years since Sanders made his first run at the presidency. There are more candidates embracing his liberal ideas, and the candidates themselves are more diverse.
