There are important conversations happening around justice and police use of force. A man shot and killed 5 police officers in Dallas last July during otherwise peaceful protests against police shootings of black men. The gunfire ended that night when Dallas police sent in a robot to detonate a bomb which killed the gunman. In Southern California, sheriff’s officers recently used a robot to end an armed standoff in the Antelope Valley. Is robot policing used more often than the public realizes?
