Vice President Mike Pence is in Ireland today to attend official meetings. Those meetings are held in Dublin, but he's staying about 180 miles away at President Trump’s golf resort in Doonbeg, and commuting by plane.
Pence and his staff defended the location as the product of a last-minute scheduling change, and said Trump didn’t force Pence to stay there. But it raises ethical questions about how the president continues to profit off his position in office.
Also, late last week, the Trump administration rolled out new citizenship rules for kids born overseas, whose parents are government workers and military members.
