On Tuesday, the Department of Homeland Security’s Office of Inspector General released a scathing report on the Adelanto detention facility in San Bernardino. Thousands of migrants have been held there since it opened in 2011. During a surprise visit to the facility, feds found nooses made of bedsheets in 15 to 20 cells. A staff dentist suggested detainees floss their teeth with string from their socks. It took months or years to get a medical/dental appointment, and sometimes that appointment was suddenly canceled.
