This week, the Federal Trade Commission slapped a $5 billion fine on Facebook for privacy violations relating to the Cambridge Analytica scandal. That’s the British company that gathered data on millions of Facebook users without their consent or knowledge. The scandal is now a subject of a Netflix documentary called “The Great Hack.”
