Rapper Sherman Hershfield never put out an album or made a music video. His career started with a series of strokes that left him with an unusual side effect. He began speaking in rhyming couplets. Hershfield went to the only place a 50-something Beverly Hills doctor would go with this condition: a rap battle in Leimert Park. He kept going back, eventually winning the respect of fellow rappers in the scene.
