The rate of sexually transmitted diseases is at a 20-year high in California, and it’s growing at a faster rate than the rest of the country. That’s according to a new report from the California Department of Public Health.

In response to Dr. Klausner's interview, the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health said partner notification for STD cases remains among the department's core prevention strategies. The Department also said it maintains a strong condom social marketing and distribution program, and this year launched a new HIV prevention campaign aimed promoting medication the lowers the risk of infection.
