Dem Candidates say 'Sí' to Immigration Reform; California’s Diabetes Crisis

A look at the promises Clinton and Sanders made at Wednesday’s Univision debate, from immigration to helping Puerto Rico. The sky-high rates of diabetes and prediabetes in California and Eleanor Roosevelt’s unlikely friendship with an African American woman.

At last night’s Univision and Washington Post debate in Miami, Democratic candidates Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders faced tough questions from the moderators over existing immigration laws, their positions on the deportation of immigrant children and whether or not they’d continue Obama’s policies. We’ll look at their responses on immigration and how they would deal with Puerto Rico’s economic woes.

Plus, a new UCLA study shows that an alarming number of Californians are diabetic or prediabetic. What does this mean for our fiscal and physical health?
