Governor Jerry Brown signed several new California gun laws and vetoed others on his desk. What does that mean for the gun control initiative that Lt. Governor Gavin Newsom has put on the ballot? That initiative is one of at least 17 that California voters will decide on in November.
Also, Los Angeles County’s voting system is about to get an overhaul. Registered voters will automatically receive a vote-by-mail ballot and will be able to vote at any polling place they choose, where they will use new, user-friendly touch-screen voting machines.
