More than a dozen states have asked the Supreme Court to limit protections for LGBT people. Led by Nebraska, they want companies to be able to fire their employees based on their sexual orientation. Also, a seat on the California Supreme Court has been vacant for almost a year and a half now. Why hasn’t Governor Jerry Brown filled it?
