One in four homeless people suffer from a mental illness, and although there are services out there provided by the LA County Department of Mental Health and local nonprofits, there’s also a high level of need. It’s extra challenging for people with mental illness to navigate these services. We take a look at homeless outreach teams, Full Service Partnership programs and why mental health professionals believe a Housing First model is so important.
