The living room is Hollyhock House's largest and most dramatic space with custom-designed furniture, a spectacular vista, and a fireplace integrating all four classical elements: fire, earth, air, and water. The room exemplifies Frank Lloyd Wright’s design philosophy in which architecture, furniture, textiles, and objects come together to create a unified artistic whole.

Former President Barack Obama added LA-based author Antoine Wilson's “Mouth to Mouth” to his reading list. The suspenseful book has been out since January.
