LA lost an influential local musician and producer this week: Gregory Shorter (aka Ras G). He co-founded Flying Lotus’ Brainfeeder Records imprint, and collaborated with artists like Thundercat. His beats were spacey and psychedelic. Brainfeeder Records confirmed his death on social media on Monday. Shorter was 39 years old.
