Looking to name his band, Chilean-American singer-songwriter Chris Bowers Castillo wanted to mirror the musical concepts swirling around in his head. He came up with Kiltro, the word that Chileans use for mutts or stray dogs. A mish-mash of sound and style, “Guanaco” is a Spanglish treat from the Denver-based band’s sophomore LP Underbelly.
