Montreal-based singer-songwriter Dominique Fils-Aimé has been working on an ambitious project, an album trilogy dedicated to the history of African American music. The first album, Our Roots Run Deep, will be out in late September. “Feeling Like a Plant,” with its acoustic instruments and poly-rhythmic trance, reminds us of the growth that sunshine and long days have to offer.
