It really seemed like our compilation-curating friends over at A24 had a lock on number one for a second week in a row — especially as Stop Making Sense fever is currently sweeping Los Angeles. But it’s the controlled euphoria of James Blake’s latest venture “Thrown Around” that’s currently making the biggest impact around these parts.

New and notable: Quite a bit, actually. Brooklyn post-punks Habibi drop their third LP Dreamachine and immediately find a place just outside of the top 10. Plus, Geoff Barrow’s Beak> keeps it weird in the best way via their latest “>>>>” and electropop duo/literal twins, Cosmo’s Midnight, make a respectable debut in spot no. 30 with their groovy-good-time of a new album, Stop Thinking Start Feeling
