In the midst of an action-packed week with more excitement ahead tomorrow (👀), we invite you to slow down a bit with Icelandic duo Padda. The pair are lifelong friends and survivors of Reykjavik’s early ‘80s post-punk scene. A recently released debut EP — Fluid Time — finds them fascinated by the perception of time and space. Their compositions fill the ether with inspiration from free-form jazz and the punk aesthetics of their youth. Sample these far out sounds via the EP stand out “Bug,” which you’ll hear as part of this edition of MBE.
