The tiny town of Gallipoli, Italy gave inspiration and a title to Beirut's 5th studio album. Lead singer and founder Zach Condon described the album writing process as "a catharic mix of all the old and new records and seemed to return me to the old joys of music as a visceral experience." The band played songs from across their discography in this live session recorded at 25th Street Recording in Oakland, CA.
