Fanatic! A lot of new music tonight. I’ve been trying to put a dent in all the new records that have come in since I was on tour. It’s a great problem to have. I was just gifted the 4LP 50th anniversary edition of the Vagabonds Of The Western World album by Thin Lizzy. Eric Bell era Lizzy, looking forward to checking this out.
The coolest record I listened to over the last couple of days is by this band Checkpoint.
Checkpoint - Drift LP
You can go on Bandcamp and check out tracks if you’re interested. There’s a cool write up on the band.
The new 7” by Alicja-Pop is really cool.
Larry Hardy, he of In The Red Records and I are currently co-conspiring on yet another cool Punk Rock release slated for next year. We just got the cover art confirmed and over the weekend, I’ll be nailing down some other details. Once we have a release date, I’ll tell you all about it. I can tell you now it’s going to be great and we’re both very stoked to be doing this.
So, tonight, we’ve got a lot of new music or at least music that’s new to us. It’s a great time for music right now but if you’ve noticed, I’ve been saying that for the last several years. It’s true! Independent music is really good right now. So many cool records, so many shows to go to.
All the bands on our show tonight most likely have Bandcamp addresses so you can investigate further. I hope you do.
Listen to as much music as possible and STAY FANATIC!!!
