Jazz keyboardist George Duke, who collaborated with Frank Zappa, Michael Jackson and Miles Davis, passed away in LA at age 67.
KCRW DJ Garth Trinidad proclaimed him “one of the greatest to ever do it” on Twitter when he heard the news and opened his show with four of his tracks – “Feel”, “Reach For It”, “The Dream that Ended”, as well as fellow DJ Jeremy Sole’s remix of “Percussion Interlude”.
Jeremy had this to say about the artist:
“He’s one of those people, like Herbie Hancock, who managed to change with the times and always be himself.”
