I prepared a nice 3-hour set of sounds & dance rhythms from around the world. With 20 minutes till my start time, I figured I would start early since there was a great energy surrounding Chinatown. I managed to go through 90 percent of my set in the first 20 minutes! Sometimes I get in that zone and forget to pace myself. I now had the responsibility to rock this party with age groups that ranged from 7-80 years old. I managed! It was an amazing night with so many familiar faces in the crowd.
By the end of my set I managed to speak of the importance of KCRW and its significance in today’s society which was met with nothing but love from the crowd. If you have not pledged please do so! Thank you to KCRW for this amazing series which continues through out August.
