Happy New Year concertgoers! I spent my New Year’s Eve reflecting on some of the best shows I went to last year, which included Angel Olsen, Robyn, Channel Tres, Toro Y Moi, Bon Iver...the list goes on. New decade and new talent means a never-ending list of shows to check out!
Up first is Canadian indie folk singer-songwriter, Leif Vollebekk, whose single “Hot Tears” (and latest album New Ways) has been in rotation since its November release. He’ll be stopping by Morning Becomes Eclectic in the next few weeks but you can catch him at the Troubadour on January 14.
Thursday, January 23, head over to the Echo to catch English-Irish singer-songwriter Maverick Sabre. Last summer, he made his US radio debut on Morning Becomes Eclectic and chatted with KCRW DJ Travis Holcombe about his songwriting influences, which include visual artists and films. He won the hearts of the in-studio audience with his style and charismatic energy, so we’re excited to have him back in LA!
***And this just in*** KCRW Presents The Flaming Lips at the Wiltern on Wednesday, June 17th! “Do You Realize” that this is going to be such a fun show? Grab your tickets today before they’re sold out.
I also have your inside scoop into some KCRW ticket giveaways. In the next few weeks, we’ll have your chance at tickets to see Michael Kiwanuka, Robert Glasper, King Princess, Tycho and more! So make sure you check out our Giveaway Portal to see what new giveaways we have for you!
