Each week Henry sends in a letter to his fanatics, setting them up for the evening’s show. Often times he writes from faraway lands. Tonight, he writes from our home state of California. Tune in to KCRW 8-10pm for the show. Find the tracklist and archives at http://kcrw.com/henryrollins.

Fanatics!

Tonight, it’s a bit of a concept show we have for your enjoyment. Since I am onstage in San Diego tonight, I thought it would be a great idea to play band from California, bands mentioning California and bands playing or recording in California.

As you know, we will have the one and only Ian MacKaye joining us next Saturday. He will be bringing some good music I am sure. I don’t know what he has planned but I trust that he will bring some great tracks.

I hope you have been enjoying the shows over the last several weeks. I have been building new ones that we will be putting together for you next week. As the weather gets warmer, we will get into some way out jams that I hope you will like. I figure warm weather is a good time for longer pieces and stranger textures. Hopefully, it will all be to your liking, or at least enough so you don’t tune out.

I was talking to a woman after a show the other night and she asked me to take the show further out. This was very encouraging. I’ll see what I can do. Until then, dig this show, get ready for Ian MacKaye next week and STAY FANATIC!!!
