Jack Johnson

is in the midst of a summer headlining tour behind his 6th studio album “

From Here to Now to You” and comes through LA on August 27 and 28. He shares his love of

Afie Jurvanen as part of

KCRW’s Fandom series.

“Afie Jurvanen, also known as Bahamas, has the ability to make any song he is a part of more beautiful.

He is definitely one of my favorite people in the world to play music with. We’ve jammed anything from The Band to Cyndi Lauper.

He can play any style, that’s why his restraint is also so impressive.

I’ve never heard a song by Afie that I didn’t love and “Stronger Than That“, his newest release, is one of my favorites.”

Editor’s Note: Bahamas new album, “Bahamas is Afie” , is out August 19 on Jack’s label Brushfire Records.
