Like many people, I discovered Mike Birbiglia through This American Life. He is a frequent contributor and his pieces always stood out to me — as being very real, very honest and very very funny.

He brings that humor to his Guest DJ Project set, whether he’s telling a story about a perfect moment set to Sufjan Stevens or the agonizing experience he had with “Stairway to Heaven” that led to his first kiss. He also has some interesting insight into Bob Dylan.

Dylan may be one of the most discussed artists of all time but Mike has a truly unique view — he sees him as a comedian and finds his lyrics about oblivion pretty funny.
