First... a story from the Nocturne podcast. It's the story of one trucker's long drive through the night, and into the abyss. Truck driver, Al Wilkinson was in the cab of truck pulling hundreds of tons worth of cargo down a dark interstate in Oregon, when all of a sudden he was tumbling through space with no idea of what had just happened.
Produced by Vanessa Lowe, an independent radio producer based in the San Francisco Bay Area. She and producing partner, Kent Sparling, were finalists in KCRW's 24-Hour Radio Race in 2014. Currently, Vanessa produces Nocturne, a podcast that explores the night, and how thoughts, feelings and behaviors transform in the dark. Nocturne is a member of The Heard, an independent podcast collective.
