Nick Kroll loves creating satire around people of privilege, and he does it well. For instance, the sketch "Rich Dicks" on his recently ended Comedy Central show, Kroll Show. He attributes the ability to make fun of the upper crust to his own privileged upbringing in New York's Westchester County.
In his latest film, Adult Beginners, Kroll plays a guy who could be the third Rich Dick, until his start-up crumbles to pieces. Broke and alone, he decides to move in with his sister for a few months, earning his keep as a "manny" for his nephew.
He talks about producing for the first time, why this generation of 20- and 30-somethings just can't seem to grow up, and his brief but glorious appearance in Terrence Mallick's upcoming film Knight of Cups.
