Brendan Gleeson on Oscar nom: ‘A little affirmation is not a bad thing’

Irish actor Brendan Gleeson has received his first Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actor for playing Colm Doherty in the black tragicomedy “The Banshees of Inisherin.”  

“It's a thrill… I'm not in the springtime of my career,” he notes.
