Perhaps you've got your 'Game of Thrones'-branded Oreos or 'Game of Thrones' beer ready for your watch party on Sunday night. Once the final battle for the Seven Kingdoms has finished, HBO is facing a Throne-less future...at least until the spin-offs and prequels are ready for air. There will no doubt be popular shows in the future, but it may be awhile before another show takes over the culture the way 'Game of Thrones' has. In the meantime, HBO will have to contend with making shows under new corporate ownership, and there's no guarantee that the new bosses at WarnerMedia will offer as much money or patience as it took to develop 'Game of Thrones' in the first place.
