One last look at the Emmy landscape before nominations are announced

In the age of too much TV, why not expand the best comedy and drama categories at the Emmys to include up to 10 nominees, like the Oscars does? And while they're at it, could they bring back the Best New Show category? Or how about Best Debut performance? It seems as though there's plenty of content to fill out several new or expanded categories, but that would lead to a longer and more crowded telecast, as the TV Academy is desperately working to keep the show moving along quickly. Also, how will the show fare this year when viewers did not love that final season of 'Game of Thrones'?
