In September, the Santa Ana City Council approved by a 6-0 vote a motion in which councilmembers vowed to release a city attorney's investigation into alleged criminal actions by Miguel Pulido if the District Attorney's office didn't file charges against him within a month. The month passed last week... and nothing. Councilmembers explained their backtracking by claiming that releasing the report would jeopardize the DA's own investigation into Pulido, which has been embroiled in controversy over a land swap with a city vendor. Why won't the Council walk the walk? Or do they think the DA's office has their longtime enemy finally within their grasp?
