A Tale of Two OCs: The Homeless and the Wedge

Two interesting stories at opposite poles of the OC societal spectrum are developing this week. Recently, the ACLU of Southern California launched the Dignity for All Project, which will advocate for homeless in a county that has long struggled with how to address the issue. Meanwhile, the Newport Beach City Council meeting tonight will feature surfers arguing that the city should lift regulations against them at the Wedge, Newport's legendary surfing spot, that protect body surfers. Both will attract county and national attention, yet for vastly different reasons, which we'll get into in this special two-for-one edition.
