Fox Officially Drops Time Warner Bid

Rupert Murdoch withdrew his offer to buy Time Warner, but the media company continues to appear to make itself attractive to potential buyers, including a Warner Bros announcement of nine new superhero movies through 2020.

When 21st Century Fox first made a move to acquire Time Warner, many thought it was only a matter of time before Rupert Murdoch got his way. Now, the head of Fox has officially withdrawn his offer, but there's still speculation that Time Warner is up for being purchased, just maybe not by Fox. Meanwhile, Warner Bros announced a lineup of nine new superhero films coming through 2020. Their superhero saturation strategy comes just after moving the release date of Batman V. Superman so as not to compete with Marvel's Captain America 3.
