Who will pay for those 3-D Glasses? Kim and Rebecca Keegan of the LA Times (sitting in for John Horn) talk about Sony studio's decision to no longer pay for 3-D glasses and the possibility that other studios may follow suit. Meanwhile, theater owners who paid to outfit their theaters with expensive equipment to be able to screen 3-D movies don't think that they should pick up the tab. At present, the biggest theater chain, Regal, is threatening to not run Sony films in 3-D. Looks like a stand-off is in the offing.
