It’s that time of year again when Pulitzer Prize-winning food writer Jonathan Gold’s special edition of the Los Angeles Times 101 Best Restaurants List hits newspaper stands and goes viral, announcing his top, go-to eats across the Southland.
With places like Chef Michael Cimarusti’s Providence placing again this year at Number One, Taco María, Shunji and Lukshon are just a few of the other local heavyweights to pull in as Top Ten contenders. But, as Jonathan likes to point out, “Your next great meal in Southern California is as likely to come from that tiny storefront next to the 7-Eleven as it is from a Beverly Hills gastronomic palace.”
